Many of us start with good intentions to build a green building, yet often fail to meet those high expectations. During this interactive session, participants will be introduced to some of the most important rating systems related to green buildings, human health, and landscapes. Learn how Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens used these rating systems to clearly define its expectations in its sustainable building projects and how diverse institutions can implement these ideas on a variety of scales. The session will include an interactive exercise to help organizations define institutional values and learn how to translate those values into the appropriate certification system that can help them achieve success.
