Are you sometimes frustrated with your partner? Your public garden partner, that is! Public gardens operating within “dual-governance” (between a non-profit organization and governments or universities) often spend great amounts of staff, board, and volunteer energy on internal strife. How can we refocus that energy into the effective delivery of our mandates instead? Presenters will offer strategies for educating and building trust between governance partners. The session will explore creative ways in which resources might be shared to deliver greater public benefit. The presenters have been in the trenches of dual governance. Be prepared to share your experiences as well.
