National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) is seeking a full-time Director of Philanthropy. This position will be based at NTBG headquarters in Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii.
This key position is the primary fundraising strategist for the Garden. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, seasoned, and experienced professional with a proven track record of outstanding performance in securing gifts and coordinating fundraising and related development programs.
This position requires a high level of professionalism, unquestionable integrity and discretion, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with and manage a team. They will need to be able to motivate peers and other key stakeholders and deliver results in a complex, highly-demanding organization.
The Director of Philanthropy will primarily focus on identifying, engaging and soliciting prospective donors for major and leadership gifts that support NTBG’s mission and vision.
Candidates must have six years of progressively responsible experience in a non-profit setting. Experience working in the environmental or conservation sectors is a plus and experience with Raiser’s Edge is desirable. Must be able to travel
