Native Plant Trust is the nation’s first plant conservation organization and focuses on conserving and promoting New England’s native plants to ensure healthy, biologically diverse landscapes. We save native plants in the wild, grow them for gardens and restorations, and educate others on their value and use. Garden in the Woods, our renowned botanic garden, highlights plants native to New England while honoring the founder’s early interest in learning to grow plants from across North America to curb the destruction of them in the wild. Your journey through the heart of the 45-acre property takes you from glacier-made ridges into steep-sided valleys with a pond, bog, and a meandering stream—a stunning canvas for gardens celebrating the color and texture of native plants throughout the seasons.
