Discover 22 acres of botanical splendor and the largest collections of species rhododendrons and azaleas in the world at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden. Learn more about these extraordinary plants that are growing in a forest of conifers and deciduous trees. In addition, see the myriad of beautiful companion plants including ferns, maples, magnolias and unique perennials. The new Rutherford Conservatory showcases tropical rhododendrons, with hundreds of these tropical beauties set alongside waterfalls, a stream and towering boulders. At the center of the Garden visitors can enjoy the expansive overview of the landscape from the charming gazebo. Then explore the Fern Stumpery, Alpine and Pond Gardens and the breathtaking Meconopsis Meadow (Himalayan Blue Poppies). The RSBG supports the conservation, preservation, distribution and display of the Rhododendron species. We have a Garden Gift Shop and Nursery site.
