What We’ve learned

A Spring 2023 study of the Collective Impact of Public Gardens tells us:

Over 120 Million people visit public gardens every year – 1 out of 6 people within a 25 mile radius visited a reporting garden.

Over 95,000 acres in North America are covered by Association member gardens and arboreta.

Over 2 million schoolchildren in grades K-5 received education instruction at member gardens.

Over 71,000 volunteers donated over 2.5 million hours to gardens.

POWERFUL TESTIMONIALS

Don’t just take our word it, hear first-hand what garden leaders are saying about this simple to use, seriously powerful tool.

“Aggregate data tells the powerful story about public gardens… You can establish baseline potentials: what fundraising could be; what attendance should be; what staffing levels are appropriate.”

– Kara Newport
CEO, Filoli Center

“Benchmarking shows not only what we’re best at, but also where there’s room for improvement to help the bottom line… Without Benchmarking, it’s a lot more work for a lot more people.”

– Stephanie Jutila
Executive Director, Toronto Botanical Garden

“Click one button and you can have your own slide deck tailored to your garden.”

Brian Vogt
CEO, Denver Botanic Gardens
