The Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust invites applications for grants up to $25,000 for projects related to education and/or research in ornamental horticulture. Not-for-profit botanical gardens, arboreta, and most other tax-exempt organizations are eligible. The deadline for applications is 15 August 2018. NEW FOR 2018-In recognition of the hardships numerous gardens and other horticultural organizations have experienced during 2017 due to damages caused by natural disasters (storms, fires, earthquakes, flooding, etc.), for the 2018 grant cycle, the Trust will allocate a portion of funds available specifically to support damage remediation at such qualified organizations that make application to the Trust with competitive proposals.
