The American Public Gardens Association Awards are the professional horticulture industry’s best showcase for the most influential, thought-provoking individuals and organizations. These award winners set a professional precedent for other individuals and organizations to follow.

Currently, four awards recognize the accomplishments of individual members, four awards are open to gardens or garden programs, and two awards are open to students.

The Association is pleased to partner again with the Garden Club of America to bring students the opportunity to apply for the Hope Goddard Iselin Fellowship. This fellowship will award up to a $5,000 grant to a student enrolled in a graduate-level university program to study public horticulture through experiential learning that takes place at a recognized public garden, botanic garden, arboretum, or other closely aligned public horticulture institution in the United States. Find more information here.

Gardens are encouraged to self-nominate for the Garden Excellence, Program Excellence, Dorothy E, Hansell, and Sustainability Awards. Standing Association Board Members and Members of the Awards Committee are not eligible for Honorary Life Member, Award of Merit or Professional Citation awards. If you know a garden or an individual member who has made an impact in the field of Public Gardens, find time to nominate them today!
