The Santa Fe Botanical Garden (SFBG) has been awarded a prestigious grant by the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) under the highly competitive Museums for America grant program. SFBG will receive the $38,807 grant to support the purchase and implementation of a comprehensive database and software system (IrisBG) to improve collections management, care, and accessibility of collections information. Implementing the system will improve horticulture care and maintenance planning, labeling processes, and report generation, and it will make it possible to update records directly using GPS mobile technology.
