Bill Thomas accepts the Award for Program Excellence on behalf of the Chanticleer Scholarship in Professional Development

The Hands-on-Nature Anarchy Zone at Ithaca Children’s Garden (Ithaca, NY), a partnership with US Fish and Wildlife Service, invites visitors of all ages to take it to the next level and dig for worms, play with water sand and clay, build forts out of straw bales and stumps, climb trees, and more — and in the process get muddy, wet, and dirty while exploring their connection to nature.

The Chanticleer Scholarship in Professional Development (Wayne, PA), Established in 2008, the Chanticleer Scholarship in Professional Development has made an extraordinary impact on its recipients, their respective public gardens, and the institutions they have collaborated with. The Scholarship has supported 47 public garden professionals who enhanced their leadership skills and professional acumen through academic coursework and training.
