The Marketing and Communications Professional Section provides a resource for marketing, communications and public relations professionals working in public horticulture. Public Gardens are recognized in the cultural infrastructure of their communities as a place of exquisite beauty and inspiration as well as for providing opportunities for educational experiences in science, conservation, research and the arts. Communicating to attract multiple audiences and repeat visitation requires a strong marketing program. The Marketing and Communications Section provides an opportunity for interaction between marketing representatives from public gardens that are diverse in size, scope and mission to find solutions to universal issues and identify trends in the marketplace.
The MCPS is directly aligned with the APGA mission to serve and strengthen public gardens throughout North America by supporting and promoting their work, value and achievements in horticulture display, education, research and plant conservation. The MCPS will provide opportunities for networking, professional development and act as a resource for marketing and communications experts for APGA members and the general public.
The MCPS strives to provide opportunities for networking, professional development and act as a resource for marketing and communications experts for APGA members and the general public.
