Emerging Professionals

The Center for Public Horticulture at the University of Delaware is organizing a new APGA Professional Section for Emerging Professionals. This new section will support people new to the profession of public horticulture by providing resources for networking, career development, continuing education and training.

The purpose of the Emerging Professionals Section is to engage future public garden leaders in educational, volunteer, and social activities that help the individual practitioner build his/her professional network, share experiences with peers, and find opportunities for career development.

If you are new to public horticulture, a recent graduate, or have been in the profession for 5 years or less, get involved and support this new section by attending the organizational meeting at this year’s APGA national conference [insert org. meeting date/time details]. For more information and to help launch this new group, contact the Center for Public Horticulture’s managing director, Vikram Krishnamurthy, at vkrishna@udel.edu or 302-831-4595.
