This year's National Issues Forum focuses on the implications of the Convention on Biological Diversity, Access to Genetic Resources and Sharing of Benefits, and a new plant importation regulatory category, "Not Authorized Pending Pest Risk Analysis." Building upon an electronic community-wide deliberation, this Face2Face Summit will convene in the Nation's capital, bringing together issues experts, policy-makers, and public garden professionals. Participants will develop guidelines for gardens determining their course of action in light of emerging issues, and will inform APGA in serving as the voice of the public garden community.
